About this role

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the part-time Program Assistant will provide essential support in program management, including documentation, report generation, project tracking, meeting coordination, and internal communications. This role serves as an entry-level administrative position supporting internet freedom and technology projects.

What you will do

  • Assist the Program Manager in program timelines, budgets, reports, and resources.
  • Assist in tracking and documenting work plans, tasks, key performance, and partner commitments.
  • Assist in preparing project presentations, quarterly reports, proposals, and other project-related materials.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Coordinate meetings across different time zones.
  • Support events and meetings by coordinating agendas, schedules, and taking notes.
  • Support outreach and communications with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Update trackers, contact lists, and other administrative documents as needed.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve existing programs and develop new initiatives.

Qualifications/Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite)
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural and remote environment.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with international development, civil society, internet freedom, or digital rights.
  • Prior experience in relevant sectors, including international NGOs, think tanks, or human rights organizations.
  • Prior experience working across different time zones, preferably in a remote team setting.
  • Availability to work in the UTC +8 / CST time zone.

Remuneration:

This part-time position offers an hourly rate ranging from US $20 to $25, commensurate with experience.
